If you’ve ever wanted to start your web design from scratch using Hostinger Website Builder, this guide is for you. In this post, you’ll learn how to create a completely blank page inside Hostinger’s builder, remove any pre-existing sections, and begin designing your layout with total freedom.
Why Start with a Blank Page?
Starting with a blank page is ideal if you’re building:
- A custom homepage
- A landing page for marketing
- A minimal portfolio
- Any layout that doesn’t rely on pre-made templates
Step 1: Log In and Access Your Website
First, log in to your Hostinger account.
Go to Websites, find the project built with Hostinger Website Builder, and click Edit Website.
Step 2: Add a New Empty Page
- Navigate to Pages & Navigation
- Click Add Page
- Choose New Empty Page
This will create a new page containing only the default header and footer.
Step 3: Insert a Blank Section
To add your first content section:
- Hover between the header and footer until you see the Add Section button
- Click it and select Add Blank Section
You’ll now see a clean, empty section you can build on.
Step 4: Remove Header and Footer (Optional)
If you want a completely blank slate:
- Click the header or footer
- Use the Delete icon (bin) to remove them
- Confirm the deletion (note: this affects all pages)
Alternatively, you can hide the header or footer on specific pages:
- Select the section
- Click the Eye icon
- Choose Hide on this page
Step 5: Save and Publish
Once you’re happy with the setup:
- Click Update Website
- View your new blank page live
You’ll now see a completely empty canvas ready for your content.
