If you’re using the Hostinger Website Builder and need to recreate or restore your site, there are two reliable ways to do it. Whether your website broke, you want to start from scratch, or you need to revert to an earlier version — this guide will walk you through everything.
Method 1: Restore Your Website from Backup
Hostinger allows you to restore your website to a previous version using the backup manager. Here’s how:
- Log in to your Hostinger account.
- Go to Websites and click Edit Website next to the site you want to restore.
- Click More, then choose Manage Backups.
- Select an older date and preview the site.
- If you’re happy with the version, click Restore Backup.
- Confirm, and your site will be restored to the chosen date.
⚠️ Any changes made after that date will be lost unless you publish them first.
Method 2: Duplicate and Delete the Website
If you want to completely start over, you can duplicate the website, delete the original, and start fresh:
- From the Websites dashboard, click the three dots next to the site.
- Click Duplicate to create a backup copy.
- Once duplicated, delete the original website.
- Then click Add Website and select Hostinger Website Builder.
- Choose a template or use Hostinger AI to build a new site.
- Customize and publish your new website.
Final Step: Connect Your Domain
After publishing the new site, go back to the Hostinger dashboard:
- Find the new site in your Websites list.
- Click the three dots and select Connect Domain.
- Enter your existing domain name and complete the steps.
Done!
Your new Hostinger website is now live, and your domain is connected.
