If you’re building a website using Hostinger Website Builder, adding legal pages like the Privacy Policy and Terms and Conditions is essential for transparency and trust. These pages help protect both you and your users and are expected on any serious website.
In this post, I’ll walk you through how to create, customize, and publish these legal documents using Hostinger’s built-in templates. You’ll also learn how to link them properly in your site’s footer, so they appear on every page.
Step 1: Log Into Your Hostinger Account
Start by logging into your Hostinger dashboard. Go to the “Websites” tab and click on Edit Website next to the project you want to update.
Step 2: Create Legal Pages Using Templates
In the editor, go to Pages & Navigation, then click on Add Page. Hostinger provides ready-made templates for Privacy Policy and Terms & Conditions.
- Click on “Privacy Policy” and fill in your company name, website name, and email address.
- Read the disclaimer. While Hostinger provides a helpful starting point, the templates are not legally binding.
- Click Add Page to create it.
Repeat the same process to add a Terms & Conditions page.
Step 3: Customize the Text
The templates will auto-fill with your info and include sections like:
- Data Collection & Usage
- Legal Disclosures
- Cookies & Hyperlinking Policies
- Liability & User Rights
Make sure everything is correct and relevant to your business. Edit where necessary.
Step 4: Hide Legal Pages From the Main Menu
If you don’t want these pages showing in your top menu, go back to Pages & Navigation and drag them to the Hidden From Navigation section.
Step 5: Add Links to Your Footer
Scroll to the bottom of any page and go to the footer section. Click Add Element, choose Text, and write something like:
Privacy Policy | Terms and Conditions
Highlight each item and link them to their respective pages using the Link icon. Choose the correct page from the dropdown and decide whether to open in a new tab.
Step 6: Publish Your Changes
Click Update Website to make your changes live. Visit your website and scroll to the footer — you should see the links there. Clicking on them should take users to the right page.
Final Thoughts
That’s it! You’ve now successfully added legal pages to your Hostinger website — and they’re accessible from every page via the footer.
This is a small but important step toward making your website more professional and trustworthy.
