Looking to boost your online sales using Hostinger Website Builder? One of the most effective ways is by offering limited-time discount codes. In this guide, you’ll learn how to create, test, and promote a discount code—demonstrated with a real 50% off example.
Step 1: Log In and Access Your Website
Start by logging in to your Hostinger account. Navigate to the “Websites” tab and click “Edit Website” next to the project you’re working on. If you haven’t set up your online store yet, click the cart icon and follow the steps to add ecommerce functionality.
Step 2: Open Store Management
Switch from the website editor to the “Manage Store” dashboard. Scroll down to the “Discounts” section. If you haven’t created any discount codes before, this will be empty.
Step 3: Add a New Discount Code
Click on “Add Discount” and choose between a percentage-based discount (e.g. 10%, 50%) or a fixed amount (e.g. $10 off). For this tutorial, we’re using a 50% off code named Facebook50.
- Discount Name: Facebook Ads Campaign
- Discount Type: Percentage (50%)
- Applies To: All Products
- Usage Limit: First 100 users
- Minimum Cart Value: Optional (can be set if desired)
- Start and End Dates: Can be customized with specific time and date
Step 4: Save and Test Your Code
Once saved, go to your live store and test the code at checkout. In the example shown, an item originally priced at $108 was reduced to $54 after applying the Facebook50 code — exactly 50% off.
Step 5: Promote Your Discount with a Sticky Bar
To ensure your visitors see the offer, add a sticky announcement bar at the top of your site. You can highlight urgency and scarcity by writing something like:
“50% OFF Everything — Only for the First 100 Orders. No Minimum Spend. Use Code: Facebook50”
Customize the color to stand out (e.g., yellow), and update your website to make the change live.
