If you’re building a website using Hostinger’s AI Website Builder and wondering how to connect your domain, this simple guide walks you through the entire process.
Step 1: Log Into Hostinger
Start by logging into your Hostinger account. Once inside your dashboard, click on the Websites tab. Choose the website you want to connect a domain to and click on the three dots next to it. Then, select Connect Domain.
Step 2: Enter Your Domain Name
A prompt will appear asking for the domain name. Enter the domain you’ve already purchased through Hostinger. In the tutorial, we used benutorial.com as an example. Once entered, click Next to proceed.
Step 3: Confirm Domain Ownership
You’ll be asked if you own the domain—select Yes. Hostinger will then automatically associate the domain with your website if the DNS is already pointing correctly.
Step 4: Update DNS If Needed
If your domain isn’t already using Hostinger’s name servers, you’ll need to update them. Navigate to the Domains tab, find the domain you’ve just connected, and click Manage. Then select Name Servers > Change Name Servers and choose Use Hostinger Name Servers.
Use the following:
ns1.dns-parking.comns2.dns-parking.com
Note: DNS propagation may take anywhere from 15 minutes to 24 hours.
Step 5: Confirm the Connection
After updating the name servers, go back to the Websites section and try opening your domain. Once the DNS settings have propagated, your site will be accessible using your custom domain.
