If you’re using Hostinger Website Builder and noticed your domain doesn’t include “www” at the beginning, don’t worry — it’s an easy fix. In this guide, I’ll walk you through how to add the “www” prefix to your domain name inside the Hostinger Website Builder settings.
Why Add “www” to Your Domain?
Adding “www” before your domain can improve compatibility with certain web technologies and give your site a more traditional or familiar look. It’s especially useful for branding or when redirecting traffic.
Step-by-Step: Enable WWW in Hostinger
- Log in to your Hostinger account.
- Navigate to the Websites section and select your site.
- Click the Edit Website button.
- In the website editor, click on the three-dot menu and go to More Settings.
- From the new side menu, choose General Settings.
- Look for the option “Use 3W prefix” and enable it. This adds “www” to the beginning of your domain.
- Close the settings window and click Update Website to apply the changes.
Once you refresh and view your website, you’ll see that the URL now includes www.yourdomain.com.
