Adding custom scripts to your Hostinger website can help you verify ownership, connect third-party tools, or enhance your site’s functionality. In this tutorial, you’ll learn how to easily insert scripts into both the header and body sections using Hostinger’s Website Builder.
Step 1: Log In and Open Your Website Builder
First, log in to your Hostinger account. Navigate to the “Websites” section and click on Edit Website next to the project where you want to add the script.
Step 2: Add a Script to the Header (For Verification or Analytics)
If your script needs to be placed in the <head>
section (like a Google Search Console verification script), here’s how to do it:
- Copy the script code you need to insert.
- In the website editor, click on More in the sidebar.
- Choose Integrations, then click on Custom Code.
- Paste your script into the field labeled “Code injected into the head.”
- Click Save, then Update Website to publish the changes.
This is ideal for site verification, tracking codes, or similar scripts that don’t produce visible elements.
Step 3: Add a Script to the Body (For Embedded Tools)
To embed something like a calendar, widget, or other visual tool:
- Copy the embed code (for example, from a service like Common Ninja).
- In your website builder, create a blank section where you want the script to appear.
- Click the + icon, scroll down to Embed Code, and drag it into the section.
- Paste your script in the provided box.
- Click Embed Code and then Update Website to save your changes.
Once published, your script should appear live on your website exactly where you placed it.
