How to Connect Your Domain in Hostinger Website Builder (Step-by-Step Tutorial)

June 17, 2025

Connecting a custom domain name to your website is an essential part of launching a professional web presence. In this guide, you’ll learn exactly how to connect your domain to your website created with Hostinger Website Builder—whether your domain is registered with Hostinger or a third-party registrar like GoDaddy or Bluehost.

Step 1: Open Your Hostinger Account

Log into your Hostinger account and navigate to the Websites section. Find the website you built using Hostinger Website Builder, then click Edit Website.

Next, click on Connect Domain, and choose Change Domain. In the field provided, enter your domain name—even if it’s registered elsewhere.

If your domain is already registered and connected to another Hostinger site, you’ll be informed that the old site will be moved to a temporary web address. Simply check the confirmation box and proceed.

Step 2: Update Nameservers at Your Domain Registrar

Now, go to the domain provider where your domain is registered. This could be Hostinger, GoDaddy, Namecheap, or another registrar. Log in to your control panel and look for the DNS or Name Servers settings for your domain.

Update the name servers to point to Hostinger Website Builder by entering the following:

  • ns1.dns-parking.com
  • ns2.dns-parking.com

If you’re using Hostinger for both hosting and domain management, this process is much simpler—just choose to use Hostinger’s default name servers.

Step 3: Wait for DNS Propagation

DNS changes can take some time to propagate. It may take anywhere from a few minutes to up to 48 hours. Be patient while your domain updates.

Step 4: Confirm Connection

Once propagation is complete, visiting your domain should lead directly to your website built with Hostinger Website Builder. If everything is set up correctly, your domain will now point to your website without needing the temporary address.

Final Tips

  • Always double-check for spelling errors in your domain and name servers.
  • Make sure you save any changes in your registrar’s dashboard.
  • If your domain doesn’t connect after 48 hours, consider clearing your browser cache or checking DNS records using online tools.
