Creating a dropdown menu in your website’s navigation is one of the simplest ways to improve usability and organize content effectively. In this guide, you’ll learn how to do just that using Hostinger Website Builder.
Step 1: Log into Your Hostinger Account
Begin by logging into your Hostinger account. Once you’re in, head over to the Websites section. Choose the website you want to edit and click Edit Website.
Step 2: Open the Pages Panel
Inside the website builder, click on the Pages tab in the top navigation bar. You’ll see a list of all your site’s pages under the Main Navigation section.
Step 3: Drag and Drop to Create a Dropdown Menu
To create a dropdown menu:
- Simply drag the page you want to place inside a dropdown.
- Move it just below the main menu item you want it to appear under.
- Slightly indent it to the right. This indicates it’s now part of a submenu.
For example, if you’re placing a page called “Newsletter” under “Blog,” drag the Newsletter page just below and to the right of Blog.
Step 4: Preview the Dropdown
Hover over the main menu item (e.g., “Blog”) and you’ll see the dropdown menu appear. This confirms the structure is working.
Step 5: Publish Your Changes
Click Update Website to make your changes live. This ensures that your visitors will see the new dropdown menu structure.
Step 6: Remove a Dropdown (If Needed)
To remove a page from the dropdown:
- Go back to Pages.
- Drag the page back to the top level OR
- Click the three dots next to the page and select Move out of dropdown.
