How to Publish Your First Blog Post (Article) in Hostinger Website Builder

July 18, 2025

If you’re using Hostinger’s Website Builder and wondering how to publish your first blog post, this guide will walk you through every step. Whether you’re launching a personal blog, a business news section, or SEO content for your site, Hostinger makes it easy—even if you’ve never blogged before.

Step 1: Log in and Open the Website Editor

Start by logging into your Hostinger account. Go to the “Websites” section and click Edit Website next to the site you want to blog on.

Step 2: Enable the Blog Feature

Inside the editor, click on More in the top bar, then select Blog and hit Start a Blog. This adds the blog section to your website. You’ll now see a blog icon on your editor dashboard.

Step 3: Remove Default Blog Posts

Hostinger adds placeholder blog posts by default. You can delete them easily to start fresh.

Step 4: Add a New Blog Post

Click Add New Post. You can choose to generate content using AI or write it manually. For manual posts, enter your title, description, URL, author name, and publish date in the Post Settings window.

You can also schedule your post or publish it immediately. Don’t forget to save.

Step 5: Customize Post Content

You can add:

  • Images (from Hostinger’s free library or your own files)
  • Text sections (customized with font sizes, bold, italics, links, and more)
  • Multiple sections using drag-and-drop tools

Step 6: Categorize and Add a Featured Image

Go back into Post Settings to assign a category to your article or create a new one. Under Featured Image, select or upload a thumbnail to display on your blog feed.

Step 7: Publish the Post

Make sure to switch your post from Draft to Public. Then click Update Website to publish your changes live.

Step 8: View Your Blog

Visit your website and head to the blog section to see your new post live, complete with title, author, publish date, content, and images.

Final Tips:

  • Use SEO-friendly titles and descriptions
  • Break up content with images and formatting for readability
  • Use categories to organize your posts for better navigation
