How to Track Inventory in Hostinger Website Builder (Low Stock & Out of Stock Alerts)

July 12, 2025

Tracking your product inventory is essential for running a successful online store. If you’re using the Hostinger Website Builder, you’ll be happy to know that managing inventory is quick and straightforward. In this guide, we’ll walk you through how to enable inventory tracking, set low stock thresholds, and see what your customers will experience when stock is limited or runs out.

Why Track Inventory in Hostinger?

Inventory tracking helps you:

  • Show customers when a product is running low
  • Automatically mark items as “out of stock”
  • Avoid overselling
  • Keep better control over your stock levels

Step 1: Enable Inventory Tracking

  1. Go to your Hostinger Website Builder dashboard.
  2. Select the product you want to track—for example, a product called “Bulb Vase.”
  3. Scroll down to the pricing section.
  4. Check the box labeled “Track Quantity.”
  5. Set the starting quantity (e.g., 10 units).
  6. Define your low stock threshold (e.g., show a low stock warning when there are only 9 items left).
  7. Click Save.

Step 2: Publish Your Changes

Once you’ve saved your settings, head back to the website editor and click Update Website to publish your changes.

Step 3: Test the Inventory Behavior

To make sure it works:

  1. Go to your live website and locate the product.
  2. Add one unit to your bag and proceed to checkout.
  3. Complete the purchase using any payment method (e.g., cash on delivery).
  4. Refresh the product page. You should now see a yellow low stock icon indicating the stock is below the threshold.

Step 4: Out of Stock Notification

If all remaining products are purchased:

  1. Add all the remaining stock to your bag (e.g., 9 units).
  2. Place the order.
  3. Refresh the product page again. You’ll now see a red “Out of Stock” sign, signaling that the item is no longer available.

Important Note

Currently, Hostinger does not send email alerts for low stock. The system only displays visual indicators on the product page (yellow dot for low stock, red icon for out of stock).
