June 26, 2025

Adding a favicon to your website may seem like a small detail, but it plays a big role in making your site look professional and recognizable. In this quick tutorial, you’ll learn exactly how to add a favicon to your website using Hostinger Website Builder.

Step 1: Log Into Your Hostinger Account

Start by logging into your Hostinger account. Once logged in, go to the Websites section, and click Edit Website for the site you want to update.

Step 2: Access the Favicon Settings

In the website builder, click the three-dot menu (or “More Settings”), then go to General Settings and choose Favicon.

Step 3: Create a Favicon

If you don’t already have a favicon, no problem! Head to favicon.io, click on Generator, and enter the first letter or initials of your brand or website name.

  • Choose your favicon shape: square, circle, or rounded
  • Pick a font, text color, and background color
  • Preview your favicon in real-time
  • Once you’re happy, click Download

A ZIP file will download to your computer. Extract it to access the favicon images.

Step 4: Upload the Favicon to Hostinger

Go back to Hostinger and click Add Image, then Upload Files. Choose the 512×512 version of your favicon (for best compatibility) and upload it. Select the image, then save changes.

Step 5: Publish the Changes

Click Update Website to push your changes live. You can now visit your site and see your custom favicon in the browser tab.

Adding a favicon to your Hostinger site is a fast and simple way to improve your site’s branding and user experience. It adds a professional touch and makes your website easier to recognize.
